Shagufta Ali, who is known to have acted in TV shows like Saans, Sasural Simran Ka, and Saath Nibhana Sathiya, was diagnosed with diabetes six years ago, at which point the roles began to dry up. The 54-year-old actress has revealed that she has been out of work since 2018. Her last acting role was a cameo in the show Bepanah.
Allegedly, Shagufta decided to manage the position by selling his car and jewelry to pay for his car loans but has now stood out to them and spoke industry in public because she had no other choice.
“It is a high and costly treatment for which I was suffering financial difficulties. So in the Completion. I asked help from friends in the industry as I could not walk without help,” Shagufta told PTI. ” “The epidemic has been difficult for everyone, especially for me. I have been passing through a lockout for the last four years,” she said.
The actor shared that she has the assistance of some of his peers in the industry, including Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai star Sumeet Raghavan, Savdhaan India host Sushant Singh and Neena Gupta, hosts of Sawdhan India, his co-star, and director of Saans.
“When they noticed out that I was moving through a financial crisis, Sumit and Sushant, who called me ‘Shagufta Aap’, arrived forward and helped me. Even the Sony and TV Artists Association (CITAA) contacted me.
But as per to reports. Shagufta has refused to help the CINTAA. I did not receive any assistance so far. CINTAA had reached out to me for assistance before. I couldn’t get help because the amount wasn’t enough for anything. I know they can only contribute a small amount, and it doesn’t help me.
