Shark Tank India Judge Is From Chandigarh! Do You Know Who It Is? The Bussines reality shows Shark Tank first came to India in December 2021 and is making a splash for Young India. The show features visionary entrepreneurial ideas from across India that are presented to judges to gain exposure and expertise for products and start-ups.
Among the seven judges are Vinita Singh, a successful Indian entrepreneur, Anupam Mittal, co-founder and CEO of Chinese Cosmetics, Namita Thapar, founder and CEO of People’s Group, ED of Amcure Pharmaceuticals, Ashneer Grover, co-founder of Bharatpe, Aman Gupta, co-founder. Piyush Bansal, founder of BoAt, co-founder of Lanskart, and co-founder and chief uncle of Mamaarth Ghazal Alag.
Although most of these names come from the Indian metropolises of Delhi and Mumbai, one shark actually belongs to Chandigarh! Can you guess which one?

Born on September 2, 1988, Ghazal is the co-founder of MamaEarth, the first brand of ‘toxin-free’ baby care products. Launched in 2016, Ghazal co-founded the brand with her husband Varun Alagh to relieve the stress of early parenting. Currently, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Company offers over 80 products.
Talking about his recognition with the city of Chandigarh, Ghazal completed his BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) from Panjab University. So here’s another PU alumnus that we’re proud of! Her husband also revealed on TV that the ghazal was from Chandigarh.
To tell you a little more about the concept of the show, the show ‘Tigers of Money’ was launched in 2001 by Nippon TV in Japan. In 2005, the same format was introduced in the UK and the show was dubbed ‘Dragons Dan’. Then, the show premiered in the US in 2009 as Shark Tank and now in its 13th season is the world’s top commercial reality show.
Following its success, the Indian version of the show was conceived and began airing on December 20, 2021. The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, however;
